Fall classes are off and running! We still have spots open in most classes! Here are a couple of essential notes to help make sure you have a smooth dance year! Studio Notifications: We send out information in two ways through this our bi-weekly newsletter (we do send weekly ones when we get close to Dance Concert) and push notifications via the app. If you have not downloaded and activated the app yet please do so. Class cancellations, reminders and early registrations options will all be sent using the app. You can find the link to download the app on the homepage of our website. Absence Notification: If your dancer is unable to make it to class we’d love to know that. You can either call (603-750-7777) or email (reception@solecitydance.org) and the front desk will notify the instructor. You can also submit the absence right in the portal. Here is a video on how to do that. Scheduling a Makeup Class: If you are looking to schedule a makeup class please contact the front desk either by stopping by, phone at 603-750-7777, or email reception@solecitydance.org. Dance Concert Dates (aka recital): We have our dance concert date woot woot! Dance Concert will be the weekend of June 1st and 2nd. Saturday, June 1st will be dress rehearsal which is mandatory for all aerial students and strongly encouraged for all other dancers. Performances will take place on Sunday, June 2nd. If you do not want to participate in the dance concert you must complete this form by November 10th. Studio Closed Dates: You can find a printable version on of general calendar here. It has all the dates we are closed and other important dates during the year. Dress Code: A dress code helps the instructors teach more effectively and efficiently. A uniform look allows the instructor to see the students’ movements quickly and easily. It allows the instructor to make accurate corrections which the student can also see and understand more clearly. If you are unsure of the proper dress code for the style your dancer is taking you can find it on our website. Withdrawal Policy: If for some reason you need to withdraw from a class you must notify us in writing by the 10th of the previous month. All withdrawal notifications should be emailed to Alex (alex@solecitydance.org). Facebook Group: We have a private SCD Facebook Group. This is a great place to ask questions of other parents and I try to put reminders in there as well. FAQ’s: You can find other FAQ’s about the dance year on our website. If you are new to dance I highly recommend reading through them.
