We sold over 400 tickets and raised $1,680! $840 went to our winner, $407 was credited to the accounts of those who sold tickets and $433 will go towards our winter maintenance bill. Thank you to everyone who participated and congrats to our winner!!

Hounsell Tap Scholarship Winner

Congratulations Isabella R!

The Hounsell Scholarship, created to honor Sole City Dance’s founder and long-time Executive Director, Christine Hounsell, is an annual scholarship awarded to two Sole City Dance students studying the genre of tap dance; one current Sole City Dance student and one high school graduating student, each receiving an award of $250 to go toward their continued study of dance.

We are beginning to post volunteer sign-ups. We are starting with class chaperones and will post the remainder of the jobs after the February break. Anyone volunteering backstage must have a background check on file with the studio. Forms will be available on the table by the bulletin board. We will also post who has an active one on file so you can double-check.

*All volunteer jobs must be filled before concert tickets will go on sale to allow us to send out ticket codes for volunteers. All volunteer jobs except ushers come with a free ticket code.

SCD App

We now have an SCD APP! This is an easy way to register for classes, find newsletters, receive notifications, and submit absences. All last-minute notifications will come through the app we will no longer use text notifications. Be sure to download the SCD App, request a code to activate your account, click My Account, and log in using your portal credentials.

The SCD App is available in the Apple Store and Google Play.
