Join us for Parent Observation Week!

During the week of November 15th to November 21st, parents will be invited into the studio to observe the last 10 minutes of class. When you arrive to observe, please wait in the waiting room, remove your outdoor shoes, and your dancer or their instructor will come to get you when it’s time. We are excited to show you what the students have been working on!

Sole City Dance – Student Choreography Opportunity

Calling all SCD students ages 10+ in Levels 2–5!
Here’s your chance to choreograph and perform your own dance at Dance Northeast, held Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 PM at Marshwood High School.

How to Participate

• Submit a Proposal: Turn in your choreography proposal form to Jacqui’s studio mailbox by November 17th. Proposals are located on the bulletin board in the studio. With all important details.

• Pieces must contain at least 3 dancers.

• Pieces should be no longer than 1 minute and 45 seconds in length.

• Selection: Only 9 student choreography slots are available. Jacqui will review all submissions and select which pieces move forward.

• Fee: $15 per dancer per piece (whether dancing or choreographing). Fees will be posted once participation is confirmed.

We can’t wait to see your creativity!

🎭 Costume Deposits & Concert Participation Fees
Just a reminder that costume deposits (one per class) and the concert participation fee (one per dancer) will be posted to accounts at the end of November and processed with December’s tuition.

If your dancer will not be participating in the end-of-year dance concert, please let us know by November 24th using his link.

SCD Spirit Week & Bring an Adult to Dance Week!

🎉 SCD Spirit Week & Bring an Adult to Dance Week!
Get ready for a week full of fun and studio spirit! From December 15th to December 19th, students are invited to bring one adult to join them in their dance class (or classes). It’s a great way to share the joy of dance and let friends and family experience what makes SCD so special!

This event is open to all classes. The participating adult must be 18 or older and will need to sign a waiver upon arrival.

Don’t forget to dress up for Spirit Week! Show off your SCD pride, have fun with your outfits, and make it a week to remember!

Themed Days:

Monday (12/15): Zzz’s - Wear your cozy pajamas!

Tuesday (12/16): Tacky Tuesday - Wear those crazy patterns, mismatch everything, simply tacky!

Wednesday (12/17): Twinkle Like a Star - Wear your brightest colors or sparkly clothes!

Thursday (12/18): Candy Cane Day - Wear red and white or stripes!

Friday (12/19): Sole City Day - Wear your SCD merch or Black/Gold/Mustard/Green colors!
