Evals & Leveling RecommendationsOur faculty work hard each year to complete evaluations and provide thoughtful class recommendations for every dancer. Fall class placements are carefully determined based on the curriculum covered and the skills each dancer has acquired throughout the year. You can find your dancer's class recommendations and evaluations by viewing their Student Resources in the parent portal. If an evaluation is not available, dancers in our Dance Explore and Dance Works 1 programs should register for the next class within their age group. Dance Works 2 is the final level in the Dance Works program. Dancers who completed Dance Works 2 this past year and wish to continue ballet should register for Ballet ABT Primary. Dancers who wish to continue tap should register for Lil' Tappers. All Acro, Aerial, and Level 1 and above classes will have a specific evaluation and class recommendation for the fall. Please register for the level recommended by our faculty. As mentioned above, a great deal of thought goes into these recommendations to ensure students are placed in classes that are appropriate for their current skill level while maintaining space for all dancers within the program. This is especially important for our Aerial program. Class sizes are limited, and we carefully plan placements to ensure there are spots available for returning students at the appropriate level while also allowing room for new students entering the program. If you plan to take Aerial classes this fall, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as registration opens. Even with multiple class time options at some levels, we anticipate that many Aerial classes will fill quickly. Due to the specialized nature of Aerial training and the difficulty of adding new students later in the season, we have updated our withdrawal policy for Aerial classes. Students wishing to withdraw from an Aerial class may do so through November 15. After November 15, families will be responsible for the remaining tuition for the full dance year regardless of attendance. In case you are unsure of how to access your dancer's resources follow these steps exactly: To access your dancer’s resources, you’ll need to log into the portal via the app or website, click on account, click on the three lines (menu) in the upper right-hand corner, click account again, scroll down until you see your dancer’s name, click view, then click resources and then click on the resource title Evals or Class Recommendation.
