Hope Gerney, BA
Aerial

Hope grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where her love for aerial arts began at age 10 after attending a local circus camp. By 14, she began serious training at Cirque Du Vol, starting with silks and later expanding to lyra. When it came time for college, she was thrilled to discover a dance program at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) that included aerials. While at UNH, she continued to refine her craft, adding trapeze to her repertoire and serving as a student TA for both Aerial 1 and Aerial 2 classes.

During her summers off, Hope returned to her home studio in Raleigh as a camp counselor and aerial instructor. Now a recent graduate of UNH, she continues to TA at her alma mater and trains at Esh Circus Arts in Somerville, Massachusetts.

When she’s not flying through the air, Hope enjoys skiing, going to the theatre, and traveling
