SCD Board of Trustees

Join the Sole City Dance Board

Sole City Dance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality dance education and performance opportunities for our community. Our Board of Directors helps guide the organization and supports its long-term success.

What Does a Trustee Do?

Trustees are voting members of the Board who provide governance, strategic guidance, financial oversight, and organizational stewardship. The Board helps guide the direction of Sole City Dance but does not manage day-to-day operations or supervise staff.

Board members are expected to:

  • Attend and participate in board meetings

  • Review materials and contribute to important decisions

  • Support strategic planning and financial oversight

  • Participate in occasional committees or projects

  • Serve as ambassadors for Sole City Dance in the community

  • Act in the best interests of the organization and its mission

Who Are We Looking For?

You do not need a background in dance to serve on our Board! We welcome community members with different skills, experiences, and perspectives who believe in our mission and want to help Sole City Dance continue to grow and thrive.

Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours per month
Term: Three years, with the option to be re-elected

Interested in Joining Us?

Serving on the Sole City Dance Board is an opportunity to share your experience, strengthen arts education in our community, and help shape the future of our organization.

We'd love to hear from you!

The Sole City Dance community is grateful for the volunteer leadership provided by the Board of Trustees.
