The Circus That Lives On

Sole City Dance is excited to present our new work, “The Circus That Lives On.”

An uplifting and inspiring adventure ballet based on the true story of the Althoff family who took in a Jewish family, the Danner’s, during World War 2 in Germany. The Althoffs risked everything and hid the Danner family in full sight for five years-in the middle of their traveling circus. The Althoffs were awarded the Israeli honor, Righteous Among the Nations, for their heroism and courage. A ballet filled with love and bravery, energetic circus scenes, swing dancing and classic 1940’s hits, and a powerful, emotional story that inspires us to live our own life full of humanity and kindness.

Saturday, April 3, 1 pm and 6 pm

Tickets will be on sale in the spring!

Auditions will be held on December 19th, 2026. Registration for auditions will open in October.

Audition Fee: $15
Age 7-10: Check-in 9:50 am-10:00 am

Ages 11-13*: Check-in 11:20 am-11:30 am
