This spring we will be debuting our newest production, The Circus that Lives On

This uplifting and inspiring ballet follows the true story of the Althoff family who took in a Jewish family, the Danner’s, during World War 2 in Germany.  The Althoffs risked everything and hid the Danner family in full sight for five years-in the middle of their traveling circus.  The Althoffs were awarded the Israeli honor, Righteous Among the Nations, for their heroism and courage.  A ballet filled with love and bravery, energetic circus scenes, swing dancing and classic 1940’s hits, and a powerful, emotional story that inspires us to live our own life full of humanity and kindness.

The performances will be held at the Rochester Opera House on Friday, April 2nd at 7pm and Saturday, April 3rd at 1pm and 6pm.

Audition registration will open in October.

Audition Fee: $15

Age 7-10: Check-in 9:50 am-10:00 am

Audition 10:00 am-11:00 am

Ages 11-13*:  Check-in 11:20 am-11:30 am

Audition 11:30 am-12:45 pm

Ages 14*+: Check-in 1:05pm-1:15

Audition 1:15 pm-2:45 pm

*If you are on pointe, please bring your pointe shoes.

**Must be currently enrolled in a ballet or modern class to audition.

***Must be available 3/27, 3/28, and 3/31-4/3 for final rehearsals and performances.

****Must be available to rehearse Fridays 4-8, Saturdays 11:00-5:00, and Sundays 12:00-5:00 starting 1/8.
